About Ryan

I am happily married and father to 4 amazing children.  My oldest son, 17, plays highschool basketball and baseball; My daughter, 14, plays middleschool basketball and softball; My middle son, 6, is a ball of fire, full of personality and joy, he just lights up a room when he enters; and my youngest son, just over a year old and changing every day, already gives us so much joy and laughter.  He is undoubtedbly our orneriest one yet!  We are truly blessed with amazing, caring children and a large circle of supportive friends and family.  We are proud active members of Lifechurch.tv and strive to improve ourselves and help others in everything we do.

The majority of my “free time” is spent with my family, whether at school functions, practices & games, or huddled around a good board game.  We also really enjoy being a part of local sporting events, such as OKC Hornets Basketball, OKC Blazers Hockey, Oklahoma Redhawks Baseball, University of Oklahoma Sooners (Mens and Womens sports), BOOMER SOONER!  We recently watched the
USA Womens Softball Team beat Japan in the World Cup of Softball, July 2007.

With Oklahoma City’s newfound national stage growing rapidly, we’re really excited about the possibilities of where it will take us.  Having been a big part of the Hornets recent stay in Oklahoma City, we got to witness firsthand that our city really is ready to take on and support the Pros and we’re anxious to see how everything turns out with the Hornets and the Sonics.  Pro Basketball is coming to OKC to stay and it’s just a matter of time before we see even further expansion into who knows what… baseball, football, hockey?

Anatomy of a Staged Home
In previous posts I have mentioned the importance of a staged home, briefly outlined the things a professional stager will do for your home and even blogged about things you should look for in a professional stager. Still not convinced that this approach to selling a home pays off? You’re probably visual, so here’s hard evidence. [...] While you're here, don't miss these posts:

There’s Only One Lake In Oklahoma?
We moved to Oklahoma just over a year ago. Three weeks before relocating my wife and I visited the State for the very first time. I’m from the East Coast and Maureen is from Denver. So we feel a bit like expats trying to learn the traditions and customs of our host culture. This is [...] While you're here, don't miss these posts:

Predictability’s Out the Window
The title says it all… there’s really no other way to sum up what’s happening in the Oklahoma City real estate market lately. For the past year, although certain aspects of the market have been unpredictable, we’ve seen fairly-steady growth, and respectable levels of home sales in the OKC metro, especially in comparison with the [...] While you're here, don't miss these posts:

The Stick By Which We Measure
While many may believe that Realtors® are just money-hungry salespeople, we take joy in far more than just the commission check. Our real goal is the smile. Insurance Claims From Hail
Hey friends!  So, in the last few months, all hail broke loose!  Okay, now that I got the cheesy jokes out, let’s talk insurance!  On May 16th, 2010, Oklahoma City was struck suddenly with a large and violent hail storm.  My little house, (and my car) took a beating.  The hail came down the size [...] While you're here, don't miss these posts:

Oklahoma City Makes Forbes List of Best Places for Business and Careers
While growing up around here, I often heard the talk of how none of the good jobs were in Oklahoma. Over time, I came to realize that was a stereotype strongly held by many. DIY Tile * Can-Do Attitude, Naïve Optimism, Tight Budget
When I bought my house all of seven months ago, the previous owners were offering a flooring credit, which I didn’t take. I figured I’d just do the carpet in the den, tile in the laundry and refinish the hardwoods all myself. Boy was I naïve.
